Camille Veronica Lu
As an athletic trainer, my goal is to enhance an athlete's quality of life in addition to preparing them for their sport. Within my scope of practice, I strive to immediately care for, efficiently diagnose, and reduce the risk of re-injury through evidence-based treatments.

Cam joined the UCSF PlaySafe Program in 2021. Before PlaySafe, she managed athletic training services for club sports at the University of California, Berkeley for seven years. This included coordinating medical care for 35 teams. She primarily cared for ice hockey, men’s lacrosse, women’s rugby, and triathlon. At UCSF, Cam is one of the athletic trainers for Convent and Stuart Hall, Schools of the Sacred Heart. In addition to providing athletic training services, she is the primary administrator for the sports medicine program.
She has a special interest in continuing education, serving as a course co-chair for the annual UCSF Primary Care Sports Medicine Conference and volunteering at Far West Athletic Trainers' Association annual meetings. Cam also dabbles in marketing, helping the PlaySafe Program and the PCSM Conference with internal and external marketing materials. She celebrates providing health education to the public and sharing the positive impact of the PlaySafe Sports Medicine Program in the community. Additionally, she Cam is a lacrosse and performing arts enthusiast, working both at the professional level. Cam enjoys working at UCSF because of the continuity of care our team provides with our interdisciplinary approach.
Cam earned her Master’s of Public Health in Health Policy & Management from the University of California, Berkeley, and Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training from San Diego State University.
